One would think that in a year that has been full of pain and struggles, I would not be as enthusiastic about Thanksgiving as I am.  Afterall, this has been the year that I discovered his affair.  This has been the year that my heart and my whole being were nearly beaten to death; the year of what seemed like utter destruction and complete devastation. 

But, I can honestly say that this holiday season is much more special to me than ever before.  Because it is also the year that we rescued our marriage from the ruins. It has been the year that we have built a better relationship than we ever had before. It has been the year where faith has triumphed over fear.  It has been a year where the blessings have far exceeded the curses.  It has been a year where God's promises and His power to change hearts have never been more evident.

So, out of the ashes and ruins with wounds still fresh from the battle, here we stand.  We stand so very thankful and humbled before our loving Creator who has blessed us beyond measure.
