My wife and I went to see the second of the Twilight saga this past Sunday night. We both really enjoyed the first one after her Twilight crazy friends talked us into watching it.

In the movie Bella is in love with a vampire named Edward. Bella wants Edward to bite her and turn her into a vampire so that she can live forever and be with him forever. But he won't do it because he believes it will condemn her soul.

So on the way back from the movie this is the conversation between my wife and me:

Her: "So...if you were a vampire, would you bite me to make me a vampire?"
Me: "What? Would I bite you if I were a vampire?"
Her: "Yeah."
Me: (Laughing a little) "No...of course not!"
Her: "Why not?!" (Sounding hurt)
Me: "Why would I want to bite you and suck your blood?!"
Her: "So that I could be a vampire and be immortal...so I'd be with you forever."
Me: "Oh."
Me: "Well I guess I'd have to consider everything...you know, if it would condemn your soul and all. I'd want to know all the details."
Her: "Uh! You don't love me enough to bite me!"
Me: "Okay, okay, if I were a vampire I'd bite you."
Her: "No you wouldn't."
Me: (Sigh)

 

Well, if it turns out anything like the book...I'll eventually be one :)
