Anybody know much about how this device affects your sex drive, PMS symptoms, etc.?  Any info about this would be helpful...I read where a side effect is decreased sex drive and vaginal dryness.

No problems at all- it's great!  I don't even get a period.  The only negative is that the installation hurt quite a bit.  I'm a bit of a wimp with that.  Even so, not looking forward to the extraction!!  wish I took the 10 year instead of 5 year device!!

I just can't see how something that stops a natural function like my period could be healthy. There's a reason for women having one. Are you sure, Smjbab, that this hasn't negatively affected your sex drive or caused some dryness? I think that the commercial lists those things as side effects. Just sounds like it's blocking an important part of the female body's "motor" so to speak. We're supposed to have periods to clean and get rid of dying eggs. I don't see how that not happening could be positive.

i REALLLLY agree witht he last poster on this! i was on the depo, and had all bad side effects, there IS a reason that we have our menstral periods, it helps regulate our natural hormonal balances..to be honest i would suggest something different
