I had a "girls day" luncheon with 3 of my friends the day before Valentine's Day.  And what I discovered was truly amazing!

All 3 of my friends are married women and yet I was the only happily married woman in the group.  One of my friends has already decided her marriage is over and has asked her husband to leave.  Another one is feeling very discouraged in her marriage and doesn't know how much longer she can take it.  And the third is just basically content to have an average marriage.

Here I am - less than one year after the discovery of my husband's affair - and I was the most fulfilled woman in the group and the only one who could say she is deeply in love with her husband.  WOW!

So, first of all, Praise God and God Bless Joe Beam!  And secondly, if you are struggling in the aftermath of an affair, allow my story to give you hope.   Not only can you survive - you can thrive!

Cindyjo......I feel the same way you do!! My husband had an affair, and I feel like we get along better now than we ever have before! My husband is being the most wonderful husband ever, and has repeatedly told me how he is so sorry for losing sight of everything that was important to him. We went to a Love and Respect seminar at our church and spoke with our pastor, and we really are doing wonderfully! Our trouble was very recent, (about 2 months ago) and sometimes I wonder if the "good stuff" is gonna end...reading your post gives me the faith and hope that this is just the beginning of a wonderful lifelong marriage. We are looking forward to Joe Beam's conference next month! Thanks!!
