By now I'm sure you've all heard about star golfer Tiger Woods having an affair. A voice mail surfaced from Tiger to his lover telling her that his wife had gone through his phone and could be on to them.

We should pray for that marriage. Pray that maybe he'll seek help from Joe. But something else concerns me. I'm amazed at how public it is. At how the media talks about it. I can't imagine being him or his wife right now and seeing it all over the TV. And them playing that recording of him. It doesn't seem right.

He seems to agree. On his website he posted a letter to his fans and the public and part of it says: Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.

But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy.

I tend to agree with him and I really hope they're able to save their marriage.

I have to say that the news of Tiger's infidelities have really been difficult for me.  Not because I am a Tiger fan, but because it brings back so many emotions relating to my husband's affair.  Any time someone's affair has been made public this year, I tend to replay and scrutinize the details of our situation all over again.  Even though I try to put it into perspective and avoid the news, it still takes its toll on me.

But on the brighter side, I know what is possible - forgiveness, healing, a better marriage than ever before.  I pray for these things for Tiger and Elin.  Now, if only the media would be there to cover that side of the story......

Several years ago Glen Frey (sp?) -- the guy with the Eagles -- recorded a song about "dirty laundry." It was dead-on about how the news loves to emphasize the bad things people do and not the good.

I don't know Tiger or his situation. It looks bad. Very bad. I hope he gets the help he needs.

You know what else is amazing? ... Grace. Everyone wants to receive it but few want to extend it.       Quote from me.  LOL!
